Rental reimbursement coverage usually pays for the rental car expenses, up to a specified daily amount and for a predetermined number of days. If you lack rental car reimbursement coverage, you might have to bear the rental car expenses in case your vehicle becomes un-drivable following an accident.

There are no deductibles. However, the coverage only kicks in when their vehicle has been in a covered accident and claim has been filed. If the damage is bad enough to warrant needing a rental car.

We will reimburse up to $60 a day for the rental car up to the total coverage cap of $1,500.

Rental car reimbursement coverage only applies if the vehicle needs repairs or replacement after a covered event, such as after a car accident or after a tree falls on your car. A mechanical breakdown DOES NOT qualify as a covered claim, so you would need to pay for a rental car out of pocket if you don't have mechanical breakdown insurance.

Additionally, rental reimbursement coverage does not cover: mechanical repairs, impaired or under the influence (cause of accident). This coverage excludes fuel costs, security deposits, and any additional rental car insurance.
